Eagle View Court
Serene, airy, comfortable, inviting - all words you dream of when describing your master bedroom. Neutral bedding mixed with the natural tones in the wood of the bed frame and leather on the bench, bring a grounding sense to the space. Brass and velvet textures add a luxurious note, while the abstract art throughout give a timeless freshness and refined feel.
This room was especially fun to watch come to life! It’s the bedroom of the daughter of our client so we wanted to make it fresh and trendy, yet still feel timeless for years to come. An oversized macrame wall hanging above the fireplace becomes a focal point of the room, while balancing a commissioned piece of abstract art above the bed. Custom nightstands coordinate with a white washed dresser to bring a lightness to the space. Accents of burnt red are dabbled throughout the room adding warmth and a fun pop of color.
Art commissioned by Claiborne Columbo.
The client wanted the guest bedrooms to feel like a retreat and haven for friends that come for a visit. The neutral palate used in this space allows for a calming feel, while the natural wood tones and gray color ways give a nod toward the alpine setting of the home. The sleek lighting add a modern touch to the gray shibori dyed pillows and abstract art.
I love the lightness that this room exudes. The sculptural bird art above the bed paired with the neutral bedding seems as if sleeping here would be similar to sleeping in the clouds. Notes of olive green and natural walnut again give a grounding sense to the space. The wishbone backed chair gives a nod to the client’s Scandinavian heritage.
