Our Silver Creek Project was a new build with a family from Connecticut who moved West in search of adventure and a little more space for their young and vibrant family. The main area of focus that they needed our help with was their main living area. They went with an open layout for the kitchen, dining and living areas - which can pose as quite the intimidating space. The family loves to host friends and family, so they wanted a congruent space with welcoming areas for entertaining.
I love the fluidity between the kitchen and dining area. While the areas are distinguished as areas of their own, they play very well in the everyday use and flow of the space.
The clients had many pieces of personal art that they moved cross country with them. They wanted a less traditional way to display these pieces - the fireplace and focal element of the main living space seemed like the best spot for mirroring gallery walls.
